Updated for 2019!
More and higher quality images than were available in 2014 when we first published this series of Dinosaur books. Updated and expanded information on Dinos from the Jurassic, Cretaceous and Triassic Periods, and especially on new facts that paleontologists have discovered about Bird (Feathered) Dinosaurs.
These are well-researched books for children (of all ages!) to learn more about these fascinating animals. Each page has a picture of the Dinosaur, their name, what their name means and how to say it.
Many pictures also show how large that Dinosaur was compared to either human beings or other Dinosaurs. There are also some pictures of actual Dinosaur skeleton exhibits. With dozens of full-color images, this Dinosaur book series is an ideal learning tool for children who love Dinos and want to know more.
Here are just a handful of the many Dinosaurs and pre-historic creatures included in the series:
Velociraptor - “Swift Seizer”
Spinosaurus - “Spine Lizard” (of Jurassic Park III fame)
Triceratops - “Three-Horned Face”
Brachiosaurus - “Arm Lizard” (who sneezed all over Lex in Jurassic Park)
Tyrannosaurus-rex - “Tyrant Lizard”
Vulcanodon - “Volcano Tooth”
Archaeopteryx - "Original Bird"
Stegosaurus - “Roof Lizard” or “Covered Lizard”
Compsognathus - “Dainty Jaw” (in, well, many of the JP movies!)
Cearadactylus - "Ceara Finger" (Big Bird in the bird cage in JP III)
With the neverending popularity of Dinosaurs in cartoons, toys, books and Disney movies, these prehistoric animals are not just for people interested in fossils anymore. Although Jurassic Park is the most obvious example the popularity of Dinos has exploded in recent years. (Fun fact: the T-Rex is not even from the Jurassic period; it's from the Cretaceous era!)
This 4-pack includes each of the best-selling Dinosaur books from the Explore Series:
Dinosaur of the Triassic Period
Dinosaur of the Jurassic Period
Dinosaur of the Cretaceous Period
Bird Dinosaurs (Feathered Dinosaurs)
Also included are Dictionary and Reference sections to refer to if there are any Dinosaur terms that may not be familiar.
They are fun for children and educational at the same time. A perfect learning tool.
You and your children will certainly enjoy reading this beautiful series of Dinosaur books over and over.
