The Knight's Journal I: Descendent . Ardent . Evident

language ( April 22, 2017)
Aidan wants to be a knight.

But as the third-born son of a Knight of the Order of Britain, he's bound for the monastery. In the wake of the Roman departure from the British Isles in the 5th Century, just as the dark ages begin, he convinces his father to give him a chance: complete twelve tasks in a year to become a knight. To ensure these tasks are completed, a monk is assigned to join Aidan to document the boy’s efforts.

Along the way these two will become close, as Aidan seeks to obtain his armor and weapon by means gallant and to rescue an innocent held against his or her will and to obtain a horse. These are the first three tasks set to Aidan on his coming of age epic journey.

Aidan will prove to have more depth than just the pursuit of these tasks, for he is heroic in the face of dangers not imagined at the outset of his quest. His morality will be tested. His heart will be tested.

And ultimately, the monk documenting Aidan’s journey will be setting upon the parchment the origins of a legend. This is the first collection in the King Arthur Origins series.
