On the first day at home, new puppy Sunday chewed Arthur's dad's shoe. And the newspaper. And Arthur's socks. And his flourescent dinosaur T-shirt. Then Arthur's puppy peed on the bedroom floor. But when Sunday chased dreaded neighbour Charlotte Peever's cat to the top of the tallest tree in town, he went too far. Arthur's dad tells him to train Sunday, or else. Arthur soon sees Sunday doesn't want to be trained. But with the help of his best friend Annie McCubbin, Sunday slowly becomes less of a problem. Arthur's Problem Puppy is the story of a young boy from a single-parent family who slowly learns the meaning of responsibility.
