    The world Health Organization (who) already recognized obesity as a global epidemic in 1997. There are now more than 2 billion people on earth who are overweight or obese. Every tenth child suffers from obesity. Previously, it was believed that obesity is associated with the level of development of the country. For example, every third American is ill with obesity. But in recent years, it has become clear that obesity is no less common in developing countries and that the poor are particularly overweight. The problem of the spread of obesity is in the focus of medical research, because, according to statistics, people with high weight have many comorbidities. People with high weight are more likely to meet high blood pressure and cholesterol, they often develop diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, cancer. Why this is so, we have already discussed in previous chapters-obesity indicates increased insulin production, which in turn is the cause of numerous diseases.
