This story takes place in the small town of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. The events take place around Hunter's grandparents house on Loon Lake just outside of town. Hunter is a toughened city kid who lives in an overcrowded neighborhood and attends an over crowded school. His favorite event of the year was traveling to Loon Lake to spend time with his grandparents. After Hunter's grandfather dies Hunter goes out to the lake to fish in their favorite fishing hole and gets side tracked catching butterflies for his grandma. While catching butterflies Hunter accidentally gets his net tangled in a deer's antlers and gets lost in the woods. The skills hunter learned from the Boy Scouts and his grandfather help him keep calm, survive a night outdoors, and make it back to his grandparent's house. We hope that parents, teachers, aunts, and uncles will share this book with the ones they love. If this book becomes one child's or one parents favorite book we would be honored.
