Rumplestiltskin is a German fairy tale, first published by the Brothers Grimm in 1812. It’s the story of a poor miller who, in an attempt to appear important to the king, lies and says his daughter is able to spin straw into gold. Upon hearing this news the king calls for the girl to perform her magic, only she cannot. Then, suddenly a dwarf appears and offers to spin the straw into gold in exchange for her necklace. This sets off a chain of events that eventually leads to the girl trying to reclaim her daughter from the dwarf.Knowledge works company strives to keep the classics alive!
