Learn how experts care for Box Turtles and make their perfect habitat. I have owned and enjoyed turtles for over 40 years! My first turtles were Red-eared Sliders and Painted Turtles (see end of book for list of books on Amazon). Over two decades ago, I bought my first of many Box Turtles. In 1989, I formed a turtle club that has grown from 6 to 46 members; we now have members that own other kinds of reptiles. I currently own a total of 17 turtles, 6 of them are Box Turtles. Our club has rescued dozens of neglected turtles. These turtles came from situations where the owner had no idea how to care for them. It is upsetting to me seeing these turtles suffer, so I decided to teach people the correct ways to care for these precious reptiles by writing books. To date, I have written 8 books about my first two breeds of turtles and now I have published The Box Turtle book. This step by step book (over 130 pages) teaches you how the experts care for Box Turtles and how they create their perfect habitat. Included in this book is input from some of my club members, and, my Box Turtle veterinarian, Dr. Marcus Dagenham DVM., has glacially added his expertise. I promise you, this easy to follow book is perfect for newbie’s and all of the information is Spot-On!You will also receive my personal email address so that, if needed, you can email questions and I will respond quickly with the answer. I hope you have fun learning and, trust me, in no time you will be able to give your amazing pet turtle the complete care that it needs. My email is at end of Appendix #3. The following are nice words from my Box Turtle reptile veterinarian about this book.Forwarded by Dr. Marcus Dagenham DVMFor two decades I have been Steven Shells Box Turtle veterinarian. Over the years I have not only enjoyed being Steven’s veterinarian, but I have also valued his friendship. Steven’s knowledge on Box Turtles is impressive and extensive! I have read The Box Turtle book several times, and when I could add my thoughts to it, I did. This book is accurate and informative; I highly recommend it, and believe it is a must read to any one that wants to own a Box Turtle. Steven is a high standard person that truly has a firm grip on the correct care taking ways of Box Turtles. His enthusiasm to help others is boundless.Dr. Marcus Dagenham, DVM
