  • The Story of Camo Kitty

    Sam McCuin

Paperback (Inspiring Voices, Aug. 14, 2013)
It was early in December in the great wilds of Canada, and the weather was starting to get very, very cold. It was deer hunting season, and Grandpa Sam and his son, Marc, were staying at their hunting camp across from the grounds of a kind old gentleman named Uncle Bill and his wife, Aunt Betsy. Every night after their hunt, Grandpa Sam and Marc returned to camp to find a large cat trying to find food in the driveway. But they didn't know that the cat was trying to find food not just for herself, but for her sweet little calico kitten as well. Soon after, coyotes were heard howling and yapping around camp. A couple of days later, Uncle Bill decided to take a break after a long day of hard work. He took a seat on the camp steps, and as he sat enjoying the warmth of the sun, he was surprised to hear a soft meow from beneath him. He looked down to find a beautiful calico kitten with fur of many colors and bright emerald eyes. He didn't know it then, but this was a special kitten with a special job given to her by God, in answer to a prayer.

  • Fruits of the Spirit

    Laura Yelvington

Paperback (Inspiring Voices, Sept. 26, 2016)
In the Bible, the book of Galatians talks about the “fruit of the Spirit,” what each believer’s actions should be showing in their daily Christian life. Among these fruits are love, joy, and patience. Children’s church teacher, Laura Yelvington, brings these attributes to life by using fruit characters as imaginative examples. There’s Larry Love, who helps little Frankie Faith when he falls down. There’s Jollie Joy who wants to have a big day on the baseball field … but what happens when he doesn’t? Polley Peace tries to get a friend to forgive her with flowers. Paulie Patience teaches a friend how to stop being so angry and the value of practicing patience. Each character, each story, will help young children learn the fruits of the Spirit and develop godly morals in their own lives—just like Joy Gentleness who talks about being kind to animals or Goober Goodness who is helpful on the first day of school. God’s word is full of Truth. Let’s learn, live it, and share with others!
