The reason I wrote this children's book: I love to write and I love children. The book is about the feisty crazy old cat. It is in reference to cats that always hang around trash cans and children who love pets.This book is how your pet could love you with bad intentions in their mind. The man brings a pet home to love and he gets more than he bargained for. This cat was found at a local boxing gym. The story is to let children know my story is true in the minds of me and you. The owner of the house had to figure out how to get rid of this feisty old crazy cat. He figured out a plan that would be the envy of any man.No matter how he would try this cat would never leave and say goodbye. It's about the lesson this feisty crazy old cat learned, watching people learn how to defend themselves, and to let children know when they have a pet to love them so, there is a responsibility to make sure they give back the love their pet gives to them and to let the children know that when things are wrong and they are feeling low their pet is always there to love them so.Golden rule number one: take good care of your pet and they will love you with a love forever true. Golden rule number two: make sure your pet has food and water. Golden rule number three: when you go outside to play, keep your pet in your sight so he/she will not run away. Golden rule number four: if your pet is outside cold in a storm, bring them inside and keep them warm. And if you remember these golden rules your pet will love you forever true.

This story is about a mother who takes an adventurous journey in search of her child. She travels through snowy forests and receives directions from a mysterious woman and a frozen rosebush. After praying for a miracle, the mother miraculously crosses a lake. Once on the other side, the mother meets and talks with Jesus who opens her eyes to salvation and eternal life.

Santa Claus tells one of his elves about Jesus Christ. He tells her that Christmas is not about Santa or presents; it is about the day that God gave us the savior of the world. This book takes many of the symbols of Christmas and shows how they are related to Jesus. This is exactly the way it should be. For we need more of Him, and we need less of me. Earthly gifts break, and they cannot long please us. For true lasting joy, we all need Jesus.

One of the first true freedoms you experience as a kid growing up is your first bike. It becomes your transportation to explore the world... or at least the local neighborhood! All the kids in my neighborhood had bikes, and we roamed like packs of unwashed hooligans with torn jeans and bloody knees. We stuffed playing cards in our spokes and chewed on black licorice sticks as we rode around looking for the next jumping contest to break out. It was magic!But to a kid, a bike is more than transportation, it becomes an extension of your personality. Everybody's bike was as unique as the person who rode them. Stingrays, 10 speeds, mountain bikes, BMX, cruisers... everybody had something a little different, and they all had their strengths and weaknesses. This is where the idea for the PURPLE BICYCLE came from. Just as a bike might wish it had the abilities of a different make or model, so might a person tend to overlook how truly unique God has created each one us and long for someone else's gifts and talents, color, or ethnicity because they seem better than ours.It's a simple story, but one we all need to be reminded of from time to time.

Jed discovers God has an amazing mission for him and that he was made extra big for this special reason. As you embark on this journey with Jed, he wants you to remember that God never, ever makes a mistake. Just like Jed the whale, God loves you and has made you to do big things for Him.
