  • Brilliant Balloon Modeling

    Thelma Levett, Ted Lumby

Hardcover (Backpack Books, March 15, 2003)
Animal balloons are easy and fun to make - here are some basic tips to get you started. The models demonstrated use the 12-inch balloons included in this kit. Fully inflated, a balloon could be five times this size! However, balloons are easiest to work if they are only half-full of air. If you fill them with too much air, they might burst. Follow the instructions for each model carefully. Use a balloon pump to inflate the balloons. Measurements given for bubble lengths are just a guide to help you get started. You can adjust lengths later to suit your taste. Always ask an adult to cut off any untidy bits of leftover balloon with a pair of scissors. Keep these small pieces as they come in handy for adding details on some of the models.
