  • The Beautiful and Damned

    F. Scott Fitzgerald

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Dec. 11, 2013)
    F. Scott Fitzgerald was one of the most notable and public American writers during the Roaring Twenties, and well after he had flamed out both professionally and personally, there was a revival of interest in his works, especially The Great Gatsby, which is now considered one of the Great American Novels. His works continue to be viewed as the epitome of the Jazz Age lifestyle, with Fitzgerald writing what he lived. Like most of his works, The Beautiful and Damned is a semi-autobiographical look at Fitzgerald's lifestyle, and along the way he provides a critique of the Jazz Age's most notable themes, including money, love, and decadence. He does this by analyzing a relationship between a young man ad his wife, an obvious reference to his own relationship with his wife Zelda.

    Paperback (Ember, May 13, 2014)
Fans of Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series and Lauren Kate's Fallen novels will devour The Beautiful and the Cursed, a wholly original interpretation of gargoyle lore. After a bizarre accident, Ingrid Waverly is forced to leave London with her mother and her younger sister, Gabby, trading a world full of fancy dresses and society events for the unfamiliar city of Paris. In Paris there are no grand balls or glittering parties for Ingrid, and, disturbingly, the house her twin brother, Grayson, was sent ahead to secure for the family isn't a house at all. It's an abandoned abbey, its roof lined with stone gargoyles that could almost be mistaken for living, breathing creatures. And Grayson is missing. Yet no one seems worried about his whereabouts save for Luc, a devastatingly handsome servant at their new home. Ingrid is sure her twin isn't dead--she can feel it deep in her soul--but she knows he's in grave danger, and that it's up to her and Gabby to find him before all hope is lost.Praise for the Dispossessed Trilogy:“A deliciously satisfying mix of historical fiction, mystery, and supernatural romance.”—The Bulletin“Morgan combines fantasy with gothic romance in this well-crafted standout.”—Booklist “Forbidden romance and hot kissing abound.”—Kirkus Reviews“Morgan keeps the plot moving with constant action…dark adventure and romance.”—School Library Journal“Morgan's fluid descriptions, inventive otherworldly elements, and characters with convincing motivations result in an immersive first installment.”—Publisher’s Weekly

    F. Scott Fitzgerald, Flo Gibson (Narrator)

Audio Cassette (Audio Book Contractors, LLC, Jan. 30, 1997)
THE BEAUTIFUL AND DAMNED (1922) by F. Scott Fitzgerald is a psychological novel of the Jazz Age, a term coined by the author himself. Fitzgerald, one of the greatest 20th century writers and a member of the "Lost Generation," portrayed a decadent society of glittering and depraved Roaring Twenties socialites, money and marriage. Privilege, aimless love, and misdirected urges fill the world of Anthony Patch and his wife Gloria, both figures as tragic as the author himself.
