  • The story of Daniel Boone

    William O Steele

Paperback (Young Readers Press, Jan. 1, 1969)
Written in 1953, the book chronicles the story of Daniel Boone's life from youth to his move from Kentucky to Missouri (But nothing about Missouri and his life in MO). That was a bit disappointing. The book was written for young readers, so nothing about his life that was controversial is included. The book is a fast read, and kept my attention. The illustrations (pen and ink) were quite good, as well.
