At seventeen, she became the youngest person ever to speak before the United Nations. At Harvard University Winona studied the destruction caused by unsound development. Later she received the Reebok Human Rights Award and used the money to found the White Earth Land Recovery Project (WELRP). WELRP built sustainable, traditional livelihoods, while establishing reservation schools and education in the Anishinaabeg language.

    Rigoberta Menchú was born into a remote and impoverished corner of Guatemala where her people, the Quiche-Mayan, suffered as second-class citizens and where few children, particularly girls, went to school. Working as a coffee-picker and later as a maid, she educated herself and learned Spanish, the language of her oppressors, in order to lead her people in a fight for their land and their rights. She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992 and the Prince of Asturias Award in 1998.

    Book 1- 6.2.1 Crossfire- Roger Anderson (whose name is an alias) is an average (Jewish) teenager who lives a typical (at times boring) life and at times faces bullies in high school. He wishes for adventure and excitement; he soon get’s what he wishes later after he runs into a criminal and accidently switches phones with him. Roger and his two friends soon get involved in a dangerous situation and get kidnapped by a gang of criminals while on an outing. They are able to escape from a warehouse they are imprisoned in and escape from the criminals on the East River. Neil Anderson (codename Crossfire) , the unique FBI agent at times goes out on dangerous missions and his new assignment is one of the dangerous ones. He, the chief and FBI are continuing the search for Orlando and his men (who escaped prison 10 years ago). Orlando is one of the biggest and most dangerous members of a mafia and runs a smuggling operation across the globe. Neil’s case involves eavesdropping, chases, fighting and a terrorist attack. Later on in Mystic he almost get’s drowned forcefully when on a freighter across the Atlantic! Roger and his friends return to eavesdrop on the gang at the warehouse, armed with spy gadgets and his father’s special spy craft But they soon again get kidnapped, break out and escape from the men. But this time Roger’s girlfriend get’s abducted! Roger soon learns what his father is up against and he is soon offered something special and unique by no other than the chief of the FBI!
