    (Rudram Publishing, May 14, 2016)
Daddy Long-Legs is a 1912 epistolary novel by the American writer Jean Webster. It follows the protagonist, a young girl named Jerusha "Judy" Abbott, through her college years. She writes the letters to her benefactor, a rich man whom she has never seen.Jerusha Abbott brought up at the John Grier Home, an old-fashioned orphanage. The children were wholly dependent on charity and had to wear other people's cast-off clothes. Jerusha's unusual first name was selected by the matron off a gravestone (she hates it and uses "Judy" instead), while her surname was selected out of the phone book. At the age of 17, she finished her education and is at loose ends, still working in the dormitories at the institution where she was brought up.

It engages and maintains their interest through lively stories, games, songs, rhymes, drama, projects and craft work - activities that are fun as well as educational. "Popcorn" reflects the varying interests and abilities of learners in the 6-12 age range. The course develops at the same pace as the learners who are using it, both in terms of language and conceptual ability. In Levels 1-3 (ages 6-9), pupils follow the lives of American schoolchildren of their own age. They are encouraged to compare their lives with those of the characters they see in the story. In Level 1 the emphasis is on speaking and listening, with a gradual introduction to simple reading and writing. By Levels 2 and 3, children are encouraged to broaden their horizons. Work is incorporated from other areas of the school curriculum, and topic units are introduced in Level 3.
