DETENTION! : EPISODE 1, PART 1

The first episode in a new tween-targeted series, DETENTION! asks the question: How many ***light bulbs*** (as in light bulb moments) does it take to change a monster? It's the first day of school at Buxton Jr. High for Danny Brannigan, the shy new kid. In history class, Danny meets Jodi Johnson, star girl jock, and Griffin Parker-Smith, the school's uber-nerd. When the three kids get stuck together in detention, they slowly become aware that a terrifying, monsterish presence is haunting the school - and there are no viable grown-ups around to save them. The trio undertake a quest through the school's maze-like corridors to seek out clues to the creature's identity. Asking the questions - Why is it leaving puddles when there are no lakes around? Why is it attacking musical students? What is that thingamablob slithering on the floor near the gymnasium? And how can they save the gym - and the world - from an ancient evil and still get home in time for supper? - the trio becomes an unlikely team of misfit monster hunters.
