The Ancient Frisians: A History for Kids, with Activities

This book is recommended for ages 11 to 14, but there is no reason why children a little younger or older with an interest in ancient history shouldn’t use it.
This is a book about the Frisii, or ancient Frisians, who lived in what is now northern Netherlands until the middle of the 3rd century CE. For each topic there are activities and questions to help the reader think about what she or he read in the chapter.
About the author: Ingrid de Haas obtained her PhD in ancient Roman History at the University of California. She taught history to middle and high school students for several years. She has written various teaching units for the World History for Us All online project, including Roman Slavery and Women’s Life in Ancient Rome. She is also the author of more than two dozen books on ancient history and historical fiction.
