This book is about a father who has doubts about a child being biologically his and eventually pushes this child to the streets where he is forced to search for love from friends. Hanging out in the streets inevitably lands him in prison and he faced with the reality of trying to survive amidst all the madness taking place inside prison on his very first account. While incarcerated, he met all kinds of criminals and had to distinguish himself amonst the weak where only the strong survived. Being a stickup kid growing up in the eighties gave him the strength he needed to stay alive but there was still a void in his life. He needed to find out the truth about his father and the things he encountered while trying to accomplish this nearly made him hit rock bottom. It isn't til later in life that he figures out the reason for his estranged relationship with his father.
